Wow! What a warm and welcoming Sunday, July 2nd was for me and my family. I am very excited to be appointed as lead pastor here at Cornerstone UMC. I am also excited for some wonderful upcoming events. Tomorrow, July 4th, we will be celebrating with the church family here at Cornerstone with food, games, fellowship and of course fireworks. I hope that you are all able to be there. It starts at 6PM and the fireworks show starts at 9:30 PM. So bring a few lawn chairs and enjoy the festivities with us.

July 16th thru August 6th we will be beginning a new sermon series titled, The Apostles Tale, which is based on Paul’s letter to the church in Rome. What Paul does in these chapters of Romans, and what we’ll focus on in this series, are the critical spiritual tools and practices we need to survive and thrive as Christ’s disciples regardless of the degree of dystopia and toxicity we may encounter in our own world today.

I am so excited for our future here at Cornerstone UMC and I hope to see you all next Sunday!
